Hemet Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred in the city of Hemet during the early morning hours of 9-16-15.

On 9-16-15, at about 4:30 pm, Elisha Samson Chiles, 8-4-78, was detained by Tijuana Police in reference to this double homicide investigation. Chiles was later turned over to Hemet Police Investigators at the US/Mexico border and he was transported back to Hemet for questioning. Chiles was ultimately placed under arrest for murder. Chiles was booked on two counts of murder and is being held on $1,000,000 bail. The identity of the victims is being withheld at this time pending family notification by the Coroner’s Office.Hemet Police is asking anyone with information about the case to contact Investigator Doug Klinzing at (951) 765-2423. The investigation is ongoing and no further details will be released at this time.

Hemet Police Investigate Double Homicide 

The Hemet Police Department is investigating a double homicide that occurred in the city of Hemet during the early morning hours of 9-16-15. 

At approximately 4:51 AM, The Hemet Police Department responded to a residence in the 1200 block of South Buena Vista St in the city of Hemet to conduct a welfare check. 

Officers discovered 2 female adults deceased inside the residence. Hemet Police Investigators are currently following up on several leads in the case. 

Investigators are attempting to locate Elisha Samson Chiles 8-4-88. 

Chiles is a person of interest in the case and is believed to be driving a 2015 Charcoal Grey Dodge Caravan (Oklahoma license 471 LIV). 

The Hemet Police department asks that anyone with information about the whereabouts of Elisha Chiles contact Investigator Doug Klinzing at (951) 765-2423.
