High Speed Chase Results in Three Arrests...
Three Hemet residents were arrested and a child was taken into protective custody early Friday morning following a vehicle pursuit.
At about 12:35 am, a Hemet Police Officer was patrolling the area of Thornton and Buena Vista St. when he saw a vehicle driving east on Thornton at a very high rate of speed. As the officer attempted to catch up to the vehicle, he saw it run several posted stop signs without slowing. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop and the vehicle accelerated away.
A pursuit was initiated which traveled east through neighborhoods in the southern portions of the City of Hemet and the unincorporated portions of Hemet. The pursuit reached speeds of approximately 90 m.p.h. and came to a conclusion when the vehicle stopped in the area of Fairview and Mayberry Ave. Three adults and a child fled from the vehicle but were ultimately taken into custody in nearby neighborhoods with the assistance of the Sheriff’s Department Helicopter. The adults were all booked into Hemet PD Jail and later transported to county jail. The child was released to the Department of Social Services.
Arrested:
Joshua Marks - 19 year old Hemet resident. Felony evasion and felony child endangerment. $100,000.00 bail.
Nicholas Adams - 27 year old Hemet resident. Felony warrant. No bail.
Sylvia Adams - 25 year old Hemet resident. Felony Child endangerment. $50,000.00 bail.

Last night after the police chase a speed of 90 miles an hour that ended on Fairview 3 adults jumped out of the vehicle and fled into the field leaving an 8 year old who ran with the adults as he was scared as hell.
The sheriff helicopter was in the sky and spotted the three subjects hiding in the field and directed the police to their location and all three subjects were taken into custody
You will see in the picture below a Hemet police officer comforting the child close to him.
The child was so scared we could hear him screaming and crying over the police radio while the police were talking .
In this picture below shows that our police officers do have a heart .
Thank you Hemet police for what you do for a community
