On September 24, 2015 at 11:09 AM, deputies from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a recreational accident that had occurred at the Soboba Air Park located in the 200 block of Soboba Road, in the unincorporated area of San Jacinto. 

The investigation by responding deputies revealed a parachutist had jumped from the top of the mountain and suffered a rough landing, resulting in significant injuries.  The victim, who was not identified, received emergency medical treatment at the scene of the accident and was subsequently transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital with injuries that were described as non-life-threatening.
