Hemet Police Chief Brown makes arrest after vandalism.

On August 31, 2015, at 1:42 PM, Police Chief Dave Brown was driving from city hall to the his office at the police station when he witnessed an adult male marking graffiti on a business marquee in the 100 block of N. Buena Vista. Chief Brown who was wearing a full uniform exited the vehicle and contacted the suspect and advised him to sit on the curb. The suspect turned, asked him “who are you?” and took a fighting stance while raising his fists. Chief Brown called for back-up and took the suspect into custody who continued to resist until he was placed in handcuffs.
The business sign sustained substantial damage. The suspect was booked into Hemet P.D. and will later be transferred to a county jail. Deputy Chief Rob Webb said, “This type of thing doesn’t happen often, officers were surprised hearing the Chief call for assistance on the radio, but Chief Brown continues to show he loves and cares for this community like no other.”

Officer Hears Early Morning Alarm - Results in Arrest
On August 31, 2015, at 4:10 am, a Hemet police officer was patrolling the downtown area when he heard an audible alarm. The officer exited his police vehicle and started to walk the area on foot. To the rear of 100 N. Harvard he saw a male carrying a cash register fleeing the scene. Officers converged on the location and detained the suspect.
Officers located a business that had the glass entry door smashed out. During the investigation officers also located property inside the business that was accidentally left at the location by the suspect. Officers also found that the suspect had a felony warrant with a bail amount of $501,000 out of San Bernardino County for narcotics violations. The suspect was booked at Hemet P.D. and later transferred to county jail. All of the property was returned to the business owner.

 Multiple Agencies Team Up to Inspect Massage Parlors On Thursday August 27, 2015 members of the City of Hemet R.O.C.S. Taskforce teamed up with members of two different California State agencies to conduct inspections at several massage parlors in Hemet. The teams inspected four massage parlors to ensure no illicit activity was occurring and that there were no unpermitted changes to the buildings.

 Several code violations were discovered as well as numerous violations of the state tax code, and state employment code. There were no sex crimes discovered, and no arrests were made however; all of the businesses were issued notices for minor code violations, and two of the establishments were issued orders by the State agencies to stop conducting business immediately until the violations are corrected.
 In 2012 the City of Hemet formed the R.O.C.S. (Restoring Our Community Strategy) Taskforce to target quality of life issues within the city. The R.O.C.S. taskforce includes members of the following City of Hemet departments: Building, Code Enforcement, Fire, and Police. Today’s operation included members of the Hemet Police Department and City of Hemet Code Enforcement Officers. The State agencies that participated in today’s operation requested to not be named in this release.

San Jacinto Walmart Shoplifters arrested after Fleeing on foot.

 Around 9:55 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 25,2015  Two subjects decided to come in to San Jacinto Walmart and start shoplifting. As they left the store with out paying the Police officers arrested  the Female subject.

The Male subject decided to put his running shoes into action like Forrest Gump and ran from the parking lot of walmart toward Commonwealth where the sheriff's units were able to locate him 20 mins later after K9 and the Helicopter unit was put in the air.  

This situation caused Sheriff units to temporarily close Westbound Commonwealth.

27 Yr old ATV rider was killed when his ATV collided with a horse and its rider on Briggs Rd

ROMOLAND / RIVERSIDE COUNTY (LoudLabs News)- Last night around 11:00pm an ATV rider was killed when his ATV collided with a horse and its rider on Briggs Rd. According to California Highway Patrol Officers at the scene, the rider of the ATV was a twenty-seven year old male.
Per Jennifer Fuhrman of Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire, around 11:00pm Cal Fire/ Riverside County Fire responded to Briggs Rd and Norden Dr. for a motorcycle vs horse traffic collision. The motorcycle rider was pronounced deceased at the scene. Animal Control was called to the scene to assist with the horse that sustained critical injuries. The condition of the rider on the horse wasn't immediately available. The cause of the accident is under investigation. (26 Photos Courtesy LoudLabs News)

Fatal Traffic Collision
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, California- On Monday August 24, 2015, at approximately 10:45 P.M., Mr. Javier Gonzalez (27, Menifee) was riding his horse northbound in an open field, located west of Briggs Road and north of Mapes Road, at approximately 2 MPH. A male (26, Menifee) rider was riding his 2013 Suzuki Quad to the rear of the horse at a speed not yet determined. For reasons still under investigation, the male rider allowed his Quad to collide with the rear of the horse. Both riders were ejected and the horse sustained major injures. The rider of the quad succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased on scene. Mr. Gonzalez sustained minor injuries.

Due to the severity of injuries to the horse, the owner gave permission to euthanize the horse. Animal control responded to the scene but was unsuccessful in their attempts to euthanize the horse. A CHP Officer, who was on scene, discharged one round from his .40 caliber service weapon and the horse was successfully euthanized at approximately 1:25 A.M. The Riverside CHP Area is conducting the investigation into the collision.

The cause of the collision is still under investigation. Witnesses’ or anyone with information regarding this collision are encouraged to contact the Riverside CHP Area (951) 637-8000.

The couple were able to escape with their pitbull burned badly on the face. Chihuahua not found as far as I know and presumed dead in blaze

Hemet News - Jabrii Belgrove, 21 year old Moreno Valley resident Arrested in Hemet For Attempted murder and violation of parole

Arrest Made in Attempted Murder Case:
On Sunday, August 16, 2015 at about 5:00 am, the City of Hemet Police Department responded 
to the 600 block of E. Date St. in response to multiple calls that a shooting had just occurred. 
Responding officers contacted a 21 year old male victim who had been shot multiple times in the 
upper torso. The victim was rushed to a local hospital and he is expected to survive his injuries. 
The City of Hemet Detective Bureau was called in and took over the investigation.
Hemet Police Detectives worked with members of the US Marshals Office and California 
Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to track the suspect and he was ultimately taken 
into custody with the assistance of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, on August 19, 
2015 at about 5:00 am. The suspect was arrested in the 1300 block of Edgemont St. in Moreno 
Valley and transported to the City of Hemet Police Department for further investigation. The 
suspect will be transferred to the Riverside County Jail.
No further information will be released.
