On September 9, 2015 at around 1:38 pm, Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch received a 911 call regarding a deceased person who had been discovered in an agricultural area near Bautista Road, 3.5 miles east of Fairview Avenue in the unincorporated community of Valle Vista.

In a press release, Sgt. Walter Mendez of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Central Homicide Unit wrote that deputies from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station were immediately dispatched to the location and upon arrival they located the unidentified victim. A search of the surrounding area was conducted and no other victims were located.

Investigators from the Hemet Sheriff’s Station and from the Sheriff’s Department’s Central Homicide Unit responded to the location and assumed the investigation. The name of the decedent is being withheld pending notification of the victims family. Furthermore, Sgt. Mendez wrote that due to the ongoing investigation, no further information will be released at this time.
