Suspect arrested while in possession of stolen vehicle in San Jacinto 
also had felony warrant for his arrest from San Bernardino County

On September 20, 2015, at approximately 12:27 p.m., a deputy from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's San Jacinto police station was on routine patrol in the city of San Jacinto.

While conducting an area check on 300 block of Cambridge Drive the deputy conducted a records check of white 2001 Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The records check revealed the vehicle had been reported as stolen. 

Inside the vehicle, the deputy discovered 20-year-old Aaron Hayes, who was subsequently arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle. Additionally, Hayes already had a felony warrant for his arrest out of San Bernardino County. 

Hayes was later booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for his warrants.

In their press release for this incident, the San Jacinto Police Department reminded all it's citizens that "arrests are public information and all suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court."
