EAST HEMET GARAGE RAZED BY FIRE
Hemet, CA; The garage of a home located at 255 Zolder just south of Lincoln, in the city of Hemet has burned in a spectacular blaze, according to eyewitnesses who live on or near the residential street where the fire occurred. Witnesses who reside in the area could be seen offering to divert traffic, calm nervous neighbors and provide water and Gatorade to emergency personnel. The fire was photographed by many bystanders as the home appeared to be fully engulfed in flames.
One witness stated the family who lives at the residence was sleeping at the time of the fire and were possibly awakened when neighbors began pounding on the door. It was believed the entire family including the children who reside at the location got out in time. Most of the damage was said to be contained to the garage.
These pictures, taken by Hemet News member Patrick Davis at approximately 9:55pm, show firefighters working to put out the blaze while law enforcement personnel secure the area.
At the time of this report, it is unknown if there were any injuries involved.
