San Jacinto man arrested for multiple felony warrants after running from deputy

On September 22, 2015, at approximately 04:15 p.m., a deputy from the riverside County Sheriff's Department's San Jacinto police station was on routine patrol in the area of Dogwood Avenue and Lily Lane.

While proactively patrolling the community in the 100 block of Lily Lane, the deputy observed an adult male whom he immediately recognized as a person who was a known wanted suspect, later identified as 30-year-old Aloysius Basquez in front of a residence.

When Basquez saw the deputy, he ran into his residence on Lily Lane. Knowing the suspect was a wanted felon and wanting to ensure the safety of the community, the deputy radioed for additional deputies to respond to the location.

While the deputy was waiting for additional units to arrive to the location to assist, Basquez came out of the residence of his own free will and was taken into custody without incident.

It was then confirmed Basquez had two felony warrants, one for felon in possession of ammunition and the other for violation of Post Release Community Supervision (AB109).

Basquez was subsequently booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.
