MENIFEE POLICE DEPARTMENT

THE CITY OF MENIFEE CONTRACTS WITH THE RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF TO PROVIDE POLICE SERVICE FOR THE CITY. 

PUBLIC SAFETY IS THE TOP PRIORITY OF THE CITY. 

CAPTAIN MIKE JUDGE IS THE POLICE CHIEF FOR THE CITY OF MENIFEE.




Mission Statement
The mission of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department is to meet the mandates prescribed by law, provide progressive, innovative, and efficient public safety, while working in partnership with the community and allied agencies.

Towards this end, the City of Menifee has augmented law enforcement services with a traffic enforcement team, a special enforcement team, an alliance with a gang and narcotics task force, and crime prevention.



Crime Prevention Program
The City of Menifee Crime Prevention Program was created to enhance community awareness and teach vital skills to the public in working with law enforcement. Crime Prevention Programs which the Menifee Police Department currently provide consist of officer visits to schools and churches,and support of Neighborhood Watch.

During school and church visits, presentations are provided to students on various topics such as "Stranger Danger" using "McGruff the crime fighting dog", drug education and personal safety.

Neighborhood Watch
The Menifee Police Department supports Neighborhood Watch Programs and is available to attend and present at local meetings within the community.

Neighborhood Watch meetings are typically held at homes within the community. The Menifee Police Department is available to teach residents on how to identify suspicious activity in their neighborhoods and how to properly report it to the police. Officers give presentations on burglary prevention in these meetings and hand out crime prevention booklets on various topics.

Police Volunteer Program
The Menifee Police Department has an active volunteer program and is looking for volunteers to assist with making their community a safer place to live.

Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking (RCAHT) Taskforce

The Riverside County Anti-Human Trafficking Task Force was formed in 2010 to address crimes involving the exploitation of trafficking victims via force, fraud or coercion. For more information please visit the Riverside Sheriff's website.
Grants and Cooperative Agreements

The City Council has recently approved the Menifee Police Department to apply for an Off-Highway Vehicle Enforcement Grant that will assist law enforcement in enforcing OHV related issues in Menifee. See Riverside County Sheriff Press Release.
