Moreno Valley, Calif.; On Friday, October 2, at approximately
9:38 a.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Moreno Valley Police station along with personnel from American Medical Response as well as firefighters from the Riverside County Fire Department responded to the area Eucalyptus Avenue and Whitehall Street in the city of Moreno Valley, regarding the report of a single vehicle rollover crash at the location.

Upon arrival, first responders found a black SUV that had rolled-over and crashed into a wall that was separating the roadway from a residential neighborhood.

First responders found the driver, an unidentified adult male, had suffered major injuries after veering into oncoming lanes of traffic at which time the SUV struck a curb, causing the it to roll over, sending it smashing into the wall.

A records check of the vehicle by responding deputies showed the vehicle had been reported as stolen.

Sgt. Marla Lingo of the Riverside County Sheriff's Department stated the driver of the vehicle had been driving the vehicle westbound on Eucalyptus Avenue when he suddenly veered into the eastbound lanes, before striking the curb and rolling over into the wall. It was unknown what had caused the driver to swerve into the oncoming lanes of traffic before it struck the curb and rolled over.

The suspect was extricated from the vehicle and was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Both lanes of traffic on Eucalyptus Avenue were temporarily closed while clean up crews worked to remove the mangled SUV and secure the damaged wall.
