Just so everyone knows, after a never-ending stream of vocal complaints about providing TOO MUCH local, county and regional news....<snicker>.... Hemet News will soon be undergoing major changes as Eddie and I roll out a whole new news site.
Of course, the complaints aren't the REAL reason, but it is fun to blame the complainers. The real reason we are creating a new news site is we have simply outgrown the name "Hemet" News. We are growing so fast it is incredible. Already, I have been contacted by Valley News and asked if they could start including some of OUR stories in their newspaper and they have asked me to accept a stringer position on their paper, covering local interest and breaking news stories. Plus Eddie has been working closely with two major local television news agencies for some time now, to expand Hemet News coverage.
Although Hemet News will remain, Eddie, the entire Hemet News Team and I, are already working towards creating a new, all-inclusive news source for our entire valley and beyond. The site will (likely) be called Valley Eye News and will be our new clearinghouse for ALL our news stories. So, Hemet News will (possibly) go back to providing only local Hemet and San Jacinto coverage....although I have no doubt that those who can't figure out how to use the scroll feature in the first place will still find plenty enough to complain about. HAHAHA
Needless to say the time has definitely arrived to grow our "business", and Valley Eye News is the way we will be growing. VEN will cover the entire Riverside County region and provide news for ALL areas, while HN will go back to only providing LOCAL news, which should make at least a few of the complaints stop, though not likely all or even most of the complaints. One thing I have learned over my years wandering this funny planet, complainers will ALWAYS find SOMETHING to complain about. It is in their negative nature. Oh well. Ya can't please everyone.
So stand by faithful Hemet News readers....BIG things are coming to Hemet.
