Stabbing Victim Dies from Injuries
On Sunday, June 19th, at approximately 2:19AM, Hemet Police Communications Center received a call of a stabbing at the Elite Bar (118 N. Harvard St). Officers arrived on scene and located a non-responsive male in the parking lot suffering from a stab wound to the torso. Life saving measures were started and the victim was transported to Hemet Valley Medical Center, where the victim died from his injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim and his friends were attacked by a large group of subjects while walking through the parking lot. A second individual was also stabbed during the attack and is recovering at a local hospital. That individual’s name is not being released at this time.
The homicide victim was identified as 28-year old Nicholas Males of Whittier, Ca. Males was in town visiting family and friends. Males was a Marine Corps Veteran and father of 2. The investigation revealed that there was a large crowd of people present before, during, and after the attack.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the case to contact the Hemet Police Department. The investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
