Pinkerton changed directions and began heading north, ultimately crossing Florida Ave and entering a neighborhood in the area of Lake St. and Lincoln Ave.
Pinkerton dropped the motorcycle in the 5800 block of Nectar Ave. and fled through the neighborhood on foot. The pursuing officers coordinated a perimeter with incoming officers and once the perimeter was secure, they conducted a yard to yard search. Pinkerton was found hiding in a shed in the back yard of one of the homes and was taken into custody after a brief struggle.
Officers located the Helmet that Pinkerton was wearing in another yard as well as the backpack he had been wearing during the pursuit. The backpack contained a loaded Glock handgun that had been reported stolen last month. Pinkerton was arrested and later transported to the Riverside County Jail.
