Hemet Police arrests /subject for Kimball Ave Stabbing

Victim Seriously Injured in Stabbing...
On Tuesday, August 2nd at about 9:40PM, the Hemet Police Dispatch Communications Center received a 911 call regarding a stabbing victim in the 200 block of W Kimball Ave. Hemet Police Officers arrived on-scene and located a male adult suffering from a single stab wound to the base of his neck. Officers administered first aid to the victim while additional officers searched the area for the suspect. Hemet-San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force members located the suspect in the 300 block of W Kimball Ave as he attempted to force his way into an apartment. The suspect was identified by witnesses.
The suspect, Larry Beckley, is a 47 year old resident of Hemet. Beckley was arrested for assault with a deadly weapon, transported to Riverside County Jail and held on $25,000 bail.
The victim was transported to a hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Hemet San Jacinto Valley Gang Task Force Detectives are investigating the incident to include whether or not the incident was gang related.
