Suspect Arrested For Impersonating A Police Officer...

On August 15th at about 11AM, Hemet Police Officers arrested Frederick Jenkins in the 1500 block W Florida Ave for being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm. Jenkins was dressed in tactical gear and armed with a loaded semi-automatic handgun. The investigation revealed Jenkins often drives a Ford Crown Victoria. Law enforcement fears Jenkins acted as a law enforcement officer on this day and or prior days. Jenkins was released after posting $10,000 bail.
