Hemet Eye News : Hemet - A wanted parolee was shot and killed by sheriff’s deputies near Hemet on Wednesday, Aug. 12

Incident started around 4:45pm as the occupant of a Chevrolet S-10 refused to surrender to Police and lead them on a high speed chase. At one point the occupantshot at a Riverside County sheriff deputies where he then requested backup. The occupant shot at deputies and in turn they returned fire, also requesting backup. 


The vehicle stopped on Acacia ave where Swat, Hemet PD, and RSO then surrounded the vehicle. After a number of requests for the occupant to exit the vehicle a robot was sent in to determine status of the occupant.
 After two further requests RSO exploded a flash bang near the vehicle, again to try and get the occupant to exit the vehicle. 15 minutes later RSO took steps to remove the occupant from the vehicle where it was found that he was deceased. No officers where injured during the altercation.




RSO Is conducting a full investigation, when released we will report the findings.
