Car Thief Leads Police Chase from Menifee ,Perris and Ends in Hemet After Causing Hit & Run Crash while Fleeing- Robert Carter - Reporting

Police pursuit ends in Hemet

Moreno Valley Police were in pursuit of a black Honda. The pursuit went through Moreno Valley, Menifee and Perris before ending in Hemet. Approximately 6:30 pm Riverside Sheriffs Star 9 notified HPD dispatch that pursuit is on the 74 East and Ethanac Rd. The suspects were driving at speeds over 100 mph. As the driver was approaching Warren Rd. 




The suspects turned south on Warren and hit a white vehicle at the intersection of Stetson and Warren and continues south. HPD notified dispatcher and HFD responded. The victim that was hit refused medical and transport to hospital. The suspects then continued back to Winchester northbound to the 74 east. 






The suspects recklessly driving with many nearly hitting other vehicles during pursuit. HPD had spike strip set up at Sanderson and Florida.
The vehicle came to a stop in front of Taco Bell. When Hemet police officers called the driver and passenger out of the vehicle at gun point, both suspects were detained and turned over to Riverside County Sheriffs with out incident.
