Vehicle Pursuit travels out of the Hemet San Jacinto Valley

On Monday, October 31st at approx. 1:05AM, a Hemet Police Officer observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed in the area of Parkview and Village Rd ,City of Hemet. The officer learned the vehicle was listed as stolen – Banning Police Department was the reporting agency.
Officers attempted a vehicle stop, but the driver failed to yield and a vehicle pursuit was initiated. The pursuit traveled out of the Hemet San Jacinto Valley and into the Beaumont Banning area. A “spike strip” was successfully deployed. The pursuit continued into Banning where the driver of the stolen vehicle, Joe Liscano, lost control of the vehicle and came to a stop in the front yard of a residence located in the 1200 block of Hermosa St, Banning. Joe Liscano fled from the vehicle, but was chased by officers on foot. After a brief struggle, Liscano was arrested for felony evading, possession of a stolen vehicle, and resisting arrest.
Joe Liscano, a 29-year old Hemet resident, is currently on Post Release Community Supervision for felony evading. Liscano was transported to Riverside County Jail where he is being held without bail.
