Hemet Police captures Jesse Delgado for Car thief after Pursuit .

Car Thief Caught After Pursuit...
On 11-22-15, at 3:11 a.m. a Hemet Police Officer attempted to stop a white Subaru Outback in the area of 1300 E. Florida Ave. after the officer recognized the vehicle as being reported stolen. The vehicle failed to yield and the officer initiated a pursuit that traveled through the east end of Hemet.
The suspect ended up turning into the Sundance Apartments at 178 N. Yale St. and continued at a high rate of speed towards the southeast portion of the complex.
The vehicle drove through a chain link fence and small retaining wall into the backyard of 2320 E. Florida Avenue, coming to a rest on a large pile of sand which disabled the vehicle.
The driver of the vehicle exited and fled on foot, while the passenger exited and immediately complied with the officers instructions. Several other units were in the area already and the driver was located a short time later in the rear parking lot of a nearby restaurant.
The driver immediately gave up when he saw the Hemet PD unit and was taken into custody without incident. The vehicle was reported stolen out of the unincorporated area of Hemet. The driver was booked at Hemet PD and later transported to county jail.
