Elder Abuse- Financial - Arrest








On Friday, December 7, 2018 about 2:00 p.m., a deputy assigned to the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station responded to an address on Owl Court, Corona, regarding a report of Financial Elder Abuse of an 85-year old victim. The investigation revealed the victim had suffered an approximate loss of $34,000 in cash and property. Suspect leads were developed and the case was sent to the Lake Elsinore Station Detective Bureau for further investigation
On April 18, 2019, after extensive follow-up investigation involving search warrants for bank records, and residences, the suspect was arrested at her residence and transported to the Lake Elsinore Station. The financial losses suffered were not recovered.
The suspect, identified as Michelle Kathlyn Pardes, 67-years old and a resident of Corona was booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center in Murrieta on charges of Elder Abuse-Theft by a Non-Caretaker, Identity Theft and other charges.
