4 Teens Arrested For Double Homicide of Lauren Lopez and Patrick Powell.




The Riverside Sheriff’s Department-Central Homicide Unit developed information as to the identity of the suspects involved in the murder of Lauren Lopez and Patrick Powell.  


On Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 Investigators secured search warrants for two residences located in the city of Hemet, one in the 300 block of Monte Vista Way and the other in the 100 block of La Amistad Way.  

The Riverside Sheriff’s Department SWAT team served both warrants without incident.  The Hemet Police Department and the Riverside District Attorney’s Office provided support during the operation and their assistance facilitated the successful outcome of the warrant service.









Ariel Savoie age 19, Kenneth Wilson age 18, Martel Patrick McBride age 18, and Alexis Mary Garcia age 19, were arrested for the murders of Ms. Lopez and Mr. Powell.  Savoie, Wilson and McBride are residents of the city of Hemet.  Garcia resided in the Valle Vista area of Hemet.  They are scheduled for arraignment on Friday, January 12th and are being held on a million-dollar bail.

Details:

On Wednesday, January 3rd, 2018 at about 11:47 am, deputies assigned to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department-San Jacinto Station were dispatched to an “Unknown Trouble” call in the area of Ramona Expwy. x N. Warren Rd., in the city of San Jacinto.  Deputies arrived and located two adult victims, male and female, shot in their vehicle.  Both victims received medical aid on scene and were transported to a local hospital, but they succumbed to their injuries.  Their identities are being withheld pending notification to the next of kin.





The Riverside Sheriff’s Department-Central Homicide Unit and San Jacinto Station Investigators have assumed the investigation.
