On 03/24/15, at approximately 03:07 p.m., a Sergeant with the San Jacinto Police Department contacted Ronald Gehnert (42 yrs) at an address in the 100 block of North San Jacinto Avenue. Gehnert was arrested for a no bail 3056 PC, parole violation, warrant and was booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

On 03/23/15, at approximately 05:41 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a theft at Walmart, located in the 1800 block of South San Jacinto Avenue. Daniel Rico (50 yrs) was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for 459.5 PC, shoplifting with intent.

On 03/23/15, at approximately 12:15 a.m., a Sergeant with the San Jacinto Police Department received information from the San Jacinto Crime Analyst that a subject, Juan Peguero (32 yrs), who had a no bail parolee at large felony warrant, was driving in a vehicle on Seventh Street. A felony stop was conducted in the parking lot of a business at Seventh Street and San Jacinto Avenue. Peguero was taken into custody and booked at the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

On 3/22/15, at approximately 11:22 a.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department contacted Jesse Lewis at an address in the 100 block of North Jordan Avenue. Lewis was arrested for a misdemeanor warrant for 11377(a) PC, possession of controlled substance. Lewis was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

On 03/22/15, at approximately 12:48 a.m., officers from the San Jacinto Police Department conducted a check of a vacant residence on South Grand Avenue cross of Seventh Street. Contact was made with a Hispanic male adult, identified as Eduardo Cardenas (46 yrs). Cardenas refused to exit the property and appeared to be under the influence of a controlled substance. Cardenas fled from officers but was caught in a field behind the property. After a brief struggle with Cardenas he was taken into custody. Found in Cardenas' possession was a small glass bottle containing liquid methamphetamine. Cardenas was arrested for 69 PC, resisting arrest with force, 12022.1(a) PC, committing an offense while out on bail, 11377(a) HS, possession of a controlled substance, and 11550(a) HS, under the influence of a controlled substance. Cardenas was booked at the Southwest Detention Center.

On 03/19/15, at approximately 04:40 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department was flagged down regarding a theft at Walmart, located in the 1800 block of S. San Jacinto Avenue. The female suspect Eliesha Brown (23 yrs) assaulted Walmart Loss Prevention when they confronted her then tried to flee as a passenger in a silver sedan. Brown was arrested for 211 PC, robbery, and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

Grand theft / Possession of stolen property

On 03/19/15, at approximately 03:59 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department was dispatched to Mesa View Street and Esplanade Avenue in the city of Hemet reference located stolen property from San Jacinto.  The victim had located aluminum pipes that were stolen from his brother's property, in San Jacinto, tied to a vehicle.  The officer located the vehicle and spoke to the driver, David Abram (45 yrs).  Abram was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for 487 PC, grand theft, and 496(a) PC, possession of stolen property.

On March 17, 2015, at 2:40 PM, deputies from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to an address in the 1500 block of South San Jacinto Avenue, reference a commercial burglary that had occurred. Deputies attempted to contact the suspect, who was later identified as 24 year-old San Jacinto resident Christopher Angelo Navas; however, Navas fled from them on foot. Deputies gave chase through several city blocks; all the while Navas continued to refuse commands to stop. A Riverside County Sheriff’s Department helicopter and K-9 unit were requested to assist in the attempt to apprehend Navas.

Deputies were eventually able to locate Navas who was hiding in a storage shed of a business in the 700 block of South San Jacinto Avenue. After numerous commands were given, Navas eventually came out of the storage shed. Once outside, Navas refused to comply with deputies orders to lay on the ground and began to fight with the deputies. The K-9 on scene was deployed and bit Navas; subsequently causing Navas to comply with the commands of deputies who then took him into custody.

Navas was treated at a local hospital and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility. Navas is a registered sex offender and is on high control parole for assault with intent to commit rape. An active no bail arrest warrant had been issued for Navas because he had failed to report to his parole officer. Navas was charged with felony commercial burglary, felony resisting of a peace officer by force, misdemeanor resisting a peace officer, and a parole violation.

On 03/15/15, at approximately 04:47 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department responded to an address in the 1100 block of Sandy Nook reference a domestic disturbance.  Leland Razon (37 yrs) was arrested for 273.5(a) PC, domestic battery, and an outstanding warrant for 11377(a) HS, possession of a controlled substance.  Razon was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility.

On 03/09/15, at approximately 07:07 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department contacted a pedestrian in the 100 block of East Shaver Street. Perla Najera (39 yrs) was in possession of a dagger. She was arrested and booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility for 21310 PC, possession of a dirk or dagger.

On 03/08/15, at approximately 12:06 p.m., an officer with the San Jacinto Police Department responded to an address in the 200 block of Maple Court reference a domestic disturbance. Epitacio Govea (37 yrs) was arrested for 243(e)(1) PC, domestic battery.  Govea was booked into the Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility
