Valle Vista - Family Van Burns to the ground as they are on their way home from grocery shopping due to gas leak

Fire units responded to Amazon and Rhine St in Valle Vista to a call of a fully engulfed van.

Vehicle owner stated that they were on their way home from grocery shopping and they turned onto Rhine Street they started smelling something burning and the vehicle stalled out on them.

They then seen flames and the mother jumped out and grabbed her child and the family was able to escape safely.

A Neighbor ran out with his water hose attempting to extinguish the flames and keep the neighbors house wet down to prevent the home from catching fire.

Fire units arrived with 2 trucks and quickly extinguished the fire.

A Family member of the van stated that they had a gas leak that they were trying to fix and stated that is what caused the fire.
Thats my story and I am sticking to it !
