Traffic collision in Moreno Valley leaves one dead, one injured

Moreno Valley, Calif.; On October 1, 2015, at approximately 1:29 p.m., deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department's Moreno Valley Police station responded to Perris Blvd, south of Krameria Ave, in the city of Moreno Valley, regarding the report of a major injury traffic collision that had occurred at the location.
Deputies from the Moreno Valley Police Department, personnel from American Medical Response (AMR) and the Riverside County Fire Department arrived on scene within minutes, at which time they found two vehicles had been involved in a traffic collision.

Deputies from the Moreno Valley Police Department, personnel from American Medical Response (AMR) and the Riverside County Fire Department arrived on scene within minutes, at which time they found two vehicles had been involved in a traffic collision.
One victim inside one of the vehicles, who was suffering from major injuries, was transported to a local hospital for advanced medical treatment. The unidentified adult, who had been a passenger in one of the vehicles, later succumbed to her injuries. The name of the victim is being withheld pending notification of the next of kin.
The driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital for precautionary measures. No further information was available on the second driver.
In a press release from the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, Sgt. Ling wrote, "Perris Blvd. in the area of the collision was closed for approximately two hours while members of the Moreno Valley Police Department's Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team conducted their investigation."
