Born and raised in mainland China, Dr. Yu Bibby came to the United State in 1982 for graduate studies. After earning an MS and a PhD degree in physics, she pursued her career as a physicist professor teaching at several universities and subsequently working at various companies.

Dr. Yu Bibby is currently a Sr. Technology Analyst for TECHCET LLC and an adjunct professor at UC Irvine and at UCSD. She is a supply-chain expert in China’s raw rare earth materials, semi-precious metals and minerals, and global semiconductor wet chemicals.

She has over 20 years of technical experience in the semiconductor and
optics industries, and has a multi-disciplinary background in optical engineering,
physics, corporate technology training and intellectual property.

She was co-founder and Sr. Scientist at UV Global developing UV optical systems. Previously, she was Chief Research Scientist at IPCG. As a seasoned university professor, she received two Outstanding Faculty Awards and holds three US patents.



Apart from being a scientist, Dr. Yu Bibby is passionate about traditional Chinese
culture, especially after seeing that the current Chinese communist regime systematic destroys the real Chinese tradition.

She has become an ambassador of the traditional Chinese culture and has presented topics on culture, art, human rights and current events on China to schools, clubs, and senior communities, etc.

 Her presentation on traditional Chinese culture starts with an explanation of a few Chinese characters, the meanings behind each stroke. Then it touches briefly on the 5,000 years of Chinese civilization, and notable events during the different dynasties.

She will explain that how Shen Yun uses the art form to present the 5,000 years of Chinese culture to the world. She will explain why such traditional culture is destroyed and despaired in current China, what is the effect of it to the whole world. Finally, she will tie in with current US-China trade war, our modern culture and emphasizes the values of traditions.
