ANZA CA - RIVERSIDE COUNTY SHERIFF CONFISCATES 70 TONS , 140,877 MARIJUANA PLANTS ESTIMATED AT $189 MILLION DOLLARS
Sheriff Bianco heard and responded to the Anza Valley community member’s concerns and complaints regarding illegal marijuana cultivation, and authorized the Hemet Sheriff’s Station Investigation’s Bureau to research and investigate these illegal marijuana cultivation sites.
On June 5, 2019, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, in conjunction with allied agencies, conducted an operation in the Anza Valley (Anza, Aguanga, Sage), specific to illegal marijuana cultivation. In recent months, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department has responded to crimes of homicide, theft, robbery, kidnapping, the theft of utilities, all associated with illegal grows.

The Hemet Sheriff’s Station Investigators spearheaded a multi-agency effort to address these community concerns. A total of about 700 Law Enforcement personnel assisted in serving search warrants at over 118 illegal marijuana grow locations within the 265 square miles of the Anza Valley.
The success of the search warrants resulted in the confiscation of:
140,877 marijuana plants (estimated at $189 million dollars street)
3,037 pounds of processed marijuana
17 rifles and 10 handguns
70 tons of plants disposed
The following individuals were arrested for related crimes:

3) 61-year-old Quynn Hoang from Oakland

5) 64-year-old Tieu Hoang from Oakland

6) 66-year-old Fu Cnang from Aguanga

7) 31-year-old Zhenfu Lin from Anza

8) 33-year-old Felix Hernan from Mexico
Charge 1551 PC Fugitive
There are numerous businesses throughout Riverside County that have obtained permits and operate legal marijuana cultivation sites. These businesses properly dispose of waste products and follow the legal process. Illegal marijuana cultivation is harmful to the environment and community.
