Hemet: Woman Trapped in Vehicle after Bad Traffic Collision

At around 12:20 am the morning of October 2nd, Hemet PD and Hemet Fire responded to a traffic collision on Florida Ave and Warren Rd. Two vehicles were involved with one of them catching fire. The occupant of the Camry was trapped inside and while firefighters extinguished the flames quickly, they had to perform a physical rescue to free the victim from the wreckage.

The trapped occupant was in full cardiac arrest when she was finally freed and was transported by medical to a local hospital in unknown condition. The occupants of the other vehicle involved seemed to have suffered minor to moderate injuries. Details surrounding the cause of the collision are unknown as is the status of the woman driving the Camry. The incident is still under investigation.
