The Moreno Valley Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a male suspect wanted in connection with several incidents of sexual battery to female victims that have occurred over the past two days, and is reminding the community to be alert to their surroundings.
On Wednesday evening, September 14, 2016, between the hours of 8:30 and 9:00 p.m., three women in three separate incidents, were sexually assaulted on their buttocks and other private areas, while shopping at a public business, by a male subject on foot in the general area of Ironwood Avenue and Graham Street.
On Friday, September 16, 2016, at approximately 7:35 a.m., a fourth female was walking in the area of Fall River Road and Albion Way, when a male passed by her on foot, grabbing her breast area. A short time later, at approximately 7:45 a.m., a fifth female was approached from behind at Hemlock Avenue and Graham Street, and was also sexually assaulted on the breast area by a male on foot.
After each incident, the suspect immediately walked away or ran off in a different direction.
Based on the physical description provided by the victims, the manner in which the crimes were carried out, and the location where the incidents occurred, officers believe one individual may be responsible for committing these assaults.
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic, 25-35 years-old, 5’6” to 5’8” tall, approximately 200 lbs., with a stocky/chunky build, brown short hair, brown eyes, and a small amount of hair on his chin.
Anyone who has any information regarding these incidents, or recognizes the individual depicted in the photos, is urged to contact Investigator Ed Vargas at (951) 486-6700 or after hours reporting at (951) 776-1099. Anonymous tips may also be submitted by visiting CrimeTips online.
