Vandalism of Downtown Businesses Leads to Arrest
On Friday, July 22nd, at about 2209 hrs., Hemet Police Officer’s began responding to reports of a male subject breaking out windows to a business with a baseball bat in the 100 block of East Florida Ave. Officers arrived and discovered windows to three separate businesses broken out. A short time later Officers spotted a male subject matching witnesses descriptions in the 1100 block of East Florida Ave. carrying a baseball bat. The subject fled on foot and was quickly apprehended without incident. Once the subject was detained it was determined that he was also under the influence of a controlled substance. He was arrested and transported to Riverside County Jail.

26 Years old
Residence-City of Hemet
Probation for Vandalism
Charges: Vandalism, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance, Violation of Probation
Bail: $60,000

  1. I'm sure to the system this is such a small crime, he'll plea bargain and be out to do this again? Under the influence is what caused him to do the crime and it should hold a higher punishment! Even as much as a DUI!
