Details:

On January 5, 2016, officers with the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the 23800 block of Hemlock Avenue regarding a report of a shooting. Officers arrived within minutes and located a male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics were summoned and the victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for his injuries. His injuries were considered non-life-threatening.

The suspect, Desmond Walker, a 58-year-old resident of Moreno Valley, was detained on the property without incident. Investigators from the Moreno Valley Police Department responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. Desmond Walker was later booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center for attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon.
