Investigation Leads to the Arrest of Two in Robbery Case
On 7-7-15 at approximately 9:11 PM, Hemet Police officers received a report of an armed robbery that had just occurred at Subway, 3515 W. Stetson Ave, Hemet, in Riverside County. Upon their arrival, officers they met with two employees who stated that three suspects had entered the store, brandished a firearm and demanded money. Both victims were forced into a refrigerator at gunpoint before the suspects fled with several hundred dollars from the cash register and personal effects belonging to the victims.
Evidence collected at the scene led to the identity of one of the suspects. Further investigation by Hemet PD detectives led to the identity of the other 2 suspects. Detectives were able to track one of the suspects (Salcido) to a residence in Yorba Linda where he was detained and transported to Hemet PD for further investigation late Thursday afternoon. Detectives were able to track a second suspect (Moreno) to a residence in Beaumont where she was arrested early Friday morning. Detectives are still actively looking for the third suspect.
It is believed that the same suspects are responsible for at least two additional robberies in the cities of Moreno Valley and Sun City. Suspect photos are attached. No further information will be released at this time.
